Just a rather quick illustration for a friend's fanfiction story.
Long story short: the victim was a cat lover and when Monk comes in to do his thing he freaks out and jumps onto the coffee table, cats follow. He refuses to move. The Captain gets rather irritated and picks him up and carries him into the room with the body.

I feel terrible for laughing at this, Monk is absolutely having a miserable time. The cats are so adorable!!! I really like the one pawing at Stottlemeyer's knee. The ear formation is just a bit roundy in an endearing way.
